COPS Moves Forward on HiringThe COPS Office was recently authorized to move forward with a FY 2010 Hiring Program that will award nearly $300 million to address the full-time sworn officer needs of state, local and tribal law enforcement agencies nationwide and to increase their capacity to participate in community policing.
