Publications and Tools

The COPS Office has developed several resources that can assist law enforcement agencies with their recruitment and hiring efforts. These resources can be accessed under "Ethics and Integrity" via the COPS Resource Information Center (RIC).

Additional Resources

Additional resources can be accessed through the National Criminal Justice Referenceicon: external link.

Less-Lethal.Orgicon: external link is a web site created by the former Less Lethal Working Group to assist local, state and federal law enforcement agencies in developing, implementing and enhancing policies governing the use of less lethal technologies. The site was supported by the COPS Office and is hosted by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), a participating agency in the LLWG. Other agencies in the working group include: the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA); the Major City Police Chiefs Association; the National Sheriffs Association (NSA); the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF); the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP); Montgomery County (Md.) Police; the Police Foundation; and the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE).
